Thought before action
Having worked in subsea oil and gas industry during its heydays which enjoyed over $100/bbl, I realized that the inflow of projects and their execution resembled a flood that carries any and everything that comes its way, which upon receding leaves a vast area of destruction waiting to be restored.
Floods (in India) and heydays in oil and gas industry are periodic occurrences that thankfully can be planned for ahead of their fateful occurrences. However, leaving the planning to happen during or after the allocation of projects resembles adding salt to a dish ahead of anything else, which leaves 'correcting', 'catching-up' with other ingredients as contingency.
