Bijuu and Jinchuuriki
Prologue:
Naruto is a well known Japanese animation series, and is also the name of protagonist. Naruto, at birth is infused with a 'bijuu' or a large amount of self-conscious energy. This energy is such that, it manifests as a being within its host or 'jinchuriki', with its discrete identity. It constantly questions and rejects the acknowledge its host to whom its tied with life i.e., both the 'bijuu' and the 'jinchuuriki' cease to exist without each other.
The host draws energy from the hosted in times of need as a temporary boost leading to a constant clash between their personalities to dominate one another. The 'bijuu' seeks to seize every opportunity at hand to takeover jinchuriki's mind. While jinchuriki has to learn to tame the bijuu with reason, and not force, to not only preserve his identity but also to seamlessly access the unlimited power of the bijuu with its consent. Therefore, a delicate and lasting balance has to be struck between the bijuu and the jinchuuriki for peace to pervade over inner strife.
It is also informed in the anime that a successful Jinchuriki is one who finds that special "something" from whence he draws endless will not to cede to the 'bijuu'. Naruto finds that special something from the love of his parents, and teachers and irrevocable compassion for others that he develops from his hard childhood.
Manas-the Bijuu, me-the jinchuriki
'Bijuu', the source of endless power is 'manas' inside one. It is inseparable from one and feeds on one, however it tries to impose its will on one. In a human, it is not only the source of 'arishadvarga' but also a source of cure for the same, if tamed. If held forcefully, it is a beast waiting to pounce and take over. In other words, if not reasoned with, manas imposes its will on one, making one to lose rationality for emotion with time. Like Naruto, one could reason the manas by drawing willpower from teachings of gurus, sat-sanga i.e., company of intellectually elevated ones, or submitting oneself to the lotus feet of Lord Sriman Narayana and take the path of bhakti, which will with time makes one to be one with manas. In bhakti, the manas, which is a constant source of illusion and disillusionment, is slowly reasoned with to realize that only source of lasting happiness, is derived by seeking the timeless and the unblemished one.
